MLK celebration plans announced Plans have been finalized for the local celebration of Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Day. Activities will begin 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, with the "Miss Dream Queen - Mr. Dream King" pageant at Morrison Grove Baptist Church. There is a $30 entrance fee. A MLK Prayer Breakfast will be held 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at the First Baptist Church social hall. The speaker will be the Rev. Also, appearing will be recording artist, Minister Fred Prophet. Minister Prophet will have his CDs and DVDs available for sale. Parade winners will be announced at this time.
