Burgess, Amiss to marry May 10

Anna Burgess and David Amiss
Mr. and Mrs. Johnny King of Coolidge announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Lynn Burgess of Millen, to David Edmund Amiss of Statesboro, son of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Londberg of Thomasville and Mr. David James Amiss of Las Vegas, Nev.

The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Mr. Glenn Burgess of Coolidge. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Joel T. Carroll and the late Mrs. Shirley B. Carroll of Thomasville, and the late Mr. Earl Burgess and Mrs. Maggie M. Burgess of Coolidge.

She is a 2001 graduate of Thomas County Central High School, a 2003 graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and a 2007 graduate of the University of Georgia with a Master of Agricultural Leadership. She is employed by the University of Georgia Coopera- tive Extension Service in Jenkins County.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. Joseph W. Stringer and Mrs. Mary T. Stringer of Thomasville, the late Mr. Chuck R. Londberg and Mrs. Phyllis D. Londberg of Salem, Ore., and the late Mr. Edmund L. Amiss and Mrs. Rosemary W. Amiss of Tallahassee, Fla.

He is a 2000 graduate of Thomas County Central High School and a 2005 graduate of Valdosta State University. He is currently attending Georgia Southern University pursuing a Master of Accounting. He is employed by Reddick, Riggs, Hunter and Kennedy, CPA in Statesboro.

The marriage will take place at five-thirty in the evening on the 10th of May, 2008. The ceremony and reception will be held at Gin Creek in Moultrie. Formal invitations will be sent.
