"Flywheel," a heart-stirring movie from the producers of "Facing the Giants," will be shown. Everyone is invited. Willing Workers Prayer Mission The Rev. Hamp Scott and the Willing Workers Prayer Mission, 521 Tubman Lane, meet every Wednesday night at Rev. Scott's home for an "old-fashioned" prayer meeting. The Mission sponsors a clothes and food drive at this location, but due to the enormous response, the donation location will be changed to the lawn of Brantley Temple Church of God in Christ at 9 a.m. Saturdays. In the event of rain, the group will meet inside the church. Supporters of the effort include Mrs. Bobby Womack and daughter, Frank Schiller, Helen Boone and many others. Sister Pearlie R. Scott is the founder, and she states that the Lord led her to initiate this prayer mission for people who are homebound and a street service for people who would not come to a "church house." First McCoy Baptist Church The First McCoy Baptist Church will celebrate their 36th Senior Choir Anniversary 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. Area choirs are invited to participate. The Rev. Hudson Scott Sr. is pastor. | |||||
