Couple unites in marriage

Mr. and Mrs. Alan Way Sims
Lindsey Renee Roberts and Alan Way Sims were married at 6 p.m. Nov. 3, 2007 at Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church in Atlanta. Dr. David Sapp officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William G. Roberts of McCormick, S.C. and the granddaughter of Mrs. Gerald R. Roberts and the late Mr. Roberts of Jonesboro, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel G. Masters of Ellenwood.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harris Way Sims Jr. of Macon and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harris Way Sims Sr. of Alma and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Bernard Parker Sr. of Millen.

The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Becky Roberts of Atlanta. Bridesmaids were Alicia Sims Bowman, sister of the groom, of Huntsville, Ala., Crystal Kent of Atlanta, Lisa Fahrenkrug of Atlanta and Dara Suchke of Atlanta.

The best man was Harris Way Sims Jr., father of the groom. Groomsmen were Brian Parker Sims of Atlanta, brother of the groom, John Roberts of Huntsville, brother of the bride, Barry Bowman of Huntsville, brother-in-law of the groom, Jason Jungberg of Forsyth and Tim Parker of Millen and Ashton Parker of Augusta, both cousins of the groom.

A reception was held at The Buckhead Club in Atlanta.

After a honeymoon in the Caribbean, the couple resides in Atlanta.

The bride is employed as an accountant with HLB Gross Collins, P.C. and the groom is employed by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention as a manager in the contracting division.
