"Super Sunday" at Sure Word Baptist

Morrison Grove Baptist Church to observe Black History Month

Morrison Grove Baptist Church will observe Black History Month by saluting black businesses in Millen and Jenkins County at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3. Certificates of recognition and appreciation will be presented. The Rev. A. A. Bush Jr., pastor, will bring the message. The public is invited.

Welcome Baptist Church will present "100 Women"

Welcome Baptist Church will present Saturday Night Live with 100 Women in Red and White 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2.

Deacon Hamp Jones will serve as the master of ceremonies, and the Rev. David Reese will be the speaker. The Rev. Eddie Walker is pastor and Deacon Willie Foreman is president.

The public is invited.

House of Fire Ministries is holding Revival

House of Fire Ministries is holding a Soul-Saving Revival 7:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 30, through Friday, Feb. 1. The guest speaker will be Evangelist Smith of South Carolina. Prophet Darrel Smith is pastor. The church is located at 521 Cotton Ave. The church's vision is "Delivering Souls and Teaching Them How to Stay Delivered."

Prom Dress Fashion Show

Before the prom season arrives, the public is invited to take advantage of an opportunity to see the latest styles in evening wear. The Millen Woman's Club is sponsoring a "Prom Dress Fashion Show" 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Millen Baptist Church Social Hall. Admission is $5. Refreshments will be served.

GED testing

The GED examination will be given at Swainsboro Technical College Monday, Feb. 11, and Tuesday, Feb. 12.

Required registration will be held at 9 a.m. in building number 8, and at 6 p.m. in building number one, room 1109, on Monday, Feb. 4. Picture identification and social security card must be presented, and the $95 test fee is due at registration.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. If applicants are 18 or 19 years of age, an official withdrawal from the last school attended must also be presented at registration.
