Betrice Royal (Bea) Lewis, of Perkins died

Mrs. Betrice Royal (Bea) Lewis, 78, of Perkins died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 at her residence.

Her funeral was held 11 a. m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Magnolia Baptist Church with the Revs. Dan Zellner and Jamie Archer officiating. Burial was in the Perkins Cemetery.

Mrs. Lewis was born in Jenkins County. She was a retired cashier for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. and she was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Emerson Lewis.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Keith Fowler of Rutledge; two sons, Jeff E. Lewis of Perkins and Terry W. Lewis of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a niece, Nona S. Tiedge of Ashburn; a brother-in-law, Gilford Lewis of Atlanta; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were Charles Royal, Larry Royal, Josh Cox, George Chablee, Stanley Lewis and Courtney Braswell.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the North Jenkins County Fire Department.
