Plant Manager: Temporary lay-offs due to slow business

Jenkins County's workforce suffered another blow last week with the lay-off of 22 employees at the local MI Metals extrusion plant. Plant Manager Lonnie Beal said that the lay-off was temporary, due to a decline in business. "It's not just us. Business is slow everywhere," he commented. More...
