Rep. John Barrow to be in Millen Friday

Congressman John Barrow will be at the Jenkins County Agriculture Center, 3:45-4:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22. The stop is part of Barrow's fourth annual "Rural Listening Tour."

Each year since he took office in 2005, Congressman Bar- row has conducted a tour of rural communities in the 12th District to hear first-hand from his constituents about the specific issues of concern to rural communities across the district. This year, Barrow expects to discuss the Farm Bill and how it will affect the 12th District and to listen to any other concerns of local residents.

Barrow serves on the House Agriculture Committee.

"I don't think you should have to drive a long distance to meet with your Congressman," said Barrow. "This tour is an opportunity for me to visit with people where they live."

The meeting is open to the public, and all citizens are invited to stop by and share their questions and concern with Congressman Barrow.
