Week four at Metter High School saw the Jenkins County War Eagles continuing to improve in their precision and scoring, along with the opposition.
The Male Mixed Squad Armed Regulation team tied with Southeast Bulloch the previous week at Statesboro High with scores of 1363 each. The Male Mixed Squad Unarmed Regulation team finished third two weeks ago with a score of 1122. This was 21 points behind second place Southeast Bulloch and 38 points behind first place Statesboro High. At Metter last Saturday, the team improved to a first place finish with 1181 points with Southeast Bulloch scoring 1166 for second place and Statesboro High bringing up third with 1132.
In the two Color Guard events the female team finished first two weeks ago but fell to second in Metter 94 points behind a very determined Metter team. The Male Color Guard continues to show improvement coming from third two weeks ago to a second place in Metter with 724 points, up 21 points from the Statesboro meet. The competition in this event is heating up with five teams continuing to chase Metter, but unlike the Statesboro meet, Metter left everyone in the dust with a score of 752 points. Southeast Bulloch, who won at Statesboro over Metter by one point, came in fourth with a 715 behind third place visitor Ware County's 717.
