Gay speaks at GREA meeting

Evelyn Gay, coordinator with Georgia Cares, provided a vast amount of information to members of the Jenkins County unit of the Georgia Retired Educators Association at their Thursday, Feb. 14, meeting.

Speaking on topics of great interest to older citizens, Gay discussed in detail the Georgia Advance Directive for Health Care and Financial Power of Attorney. Drawing on her wide experience with many who have had problems as a result of not making sure that their wishes were clearly made known and legally binding, she urged those present to document clearly their desires, so there will be no doubt and the family can have a clear blueprint for decisions that must be made.

The organization's next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 13.
