GSU football coach headlines Eagle Club meeting

Second-year Georgia Southern University (GSU) head football coach Chris Hatcher will be the featured speaker at the university's Thursday, March 13, Eagle Club event in Millen. Alumni and friends in and around Jenkins County are invited to attend.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Planters Electric Membership Corp. A meal of Brinson's barbecue and a showing of a University video will be included. Hatcher will offer his outlook on his 2008 signing class, upcoming spring practice and the 2008 season.

In Hatcher's first season as head coach, the Eagles improved from the previous year's 3-8 record to 7-4, narrowly missing the Football Championship Subdivision, (formerly I-AA,) playoffs. He was named head coach at GSU in January 2007.
