JCDA holds meeting with new chairman

The Jenkins County Development Authority (JCDA) held its regular monthly meeting at the Regions Bank Monday, Feb. 25, with newly elected Mabel Jenkins as chairman. Members present were Jeff Brantley, Steve Burke, Bobby Dwelle, Ed Fuller, Dobson Gay and Jerry Henry. Executive Director, Paula Herrington, as well as Pete Snell, vice-president of economic development of Swainsboro Tech were also present.

Chairman Jenkins called the meeting to order and asked Mr. Henry to open with prayer.

After the business of the minutes of the last meeting and financial report, Executive Director Herrington gave her report.

There were numerous matters brought to the board by Chairman Jenkins. After attending to these matters, the board set their goals for 2008.

Chairman Jenkins thanked Mr. Snell for attending and asked for any comments he may have. He did make some remarks to the board as well as offering his service. There being no further comments, the meeting was adjourned.

The JCDA meets every fourth Monday of the month at 10 a.m. at Regions Bank.
