Beatrice G. Davis, 98, of Clemson died March 4

Beatrice Gay Davis of Clemson, S.C., 98, widow of Athol W. Davis, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the Clemson Area Retirement Center.

Graveside services were held 3 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at the Elam Baptist Church Cemetery in Millen.

A native of Jenkins County, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Benjamin Lane and Katy Aycock Gay. She had many talents and was a creative artist. She loved people and was especially gifted in relating to children.

Survivors include a son, Lane Davis, and wife, Elizabeth, of Ephrata, Pa.; a daughter, Bea Gay Antrim, and husband, John, of Etowah, N.C.; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
