Miss JCHS, JCMS crowned
Melissa White was crowned 2008 Miss Jenkins County High School (JCHS), Saturday, March 8, in the high school gym. White, a junior, at JCHS will receive a $200 scholarship at the JCHS Honor's Night to be held in May. White also won the America's Choice. Junior Crisalyn Walker was first runner up; junior Brittany Johnson was second runner up; and sophomore Rachel Welch was third runner up. Junior Shante Bynes won Miss Congeniality.
Abigail Wiggins was crowned 2008 Miss Jenkins County Middle School. Tiffany Wasden was first runner up; Nicole Wilson, second runner up; and Kayla Kirkland was third runner up and America's Choice.
Jody Jeselnik was crowned 2008 Little Miss Jenkins County Schools. Destinee Mosley was first runner up; Maggie Searles, second runner up; and Judith Kingsland was third runner up. Kaitlin Stanley won America's Choice.
"This is the first year the pageant was open to all of the schools for participation. We hope to continue this tradition with more participation next year," states Cindy Drake a pageant sponsor. The pageant was very successful. Proceeds will be used to support the Junior-Senior Prom.
