Grand Jury indicts McTeer robber

A Jenkins County Grand Jury convened in Jenkins County Superior Court earlier this month and handed down indictments of armed robbery and escape against Don Eddie Galbreath of Uvalda.

He is accused of the Oct. 29, 2007 armed robbery of McTeer Food and Fuel, U.S. Highway 25 South.

Galbreath escaped from the Jenkins County Jail Dec. 6 where he was being held on the armed robbery charge. He was taken back into custody later that night and charged with escape.

Other indictments rendered include the following:

• Jeffery Cooper, obstruction of officers-felony.

• Sonya Marie Clark, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

• John Sanders, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

• Dawn McKinney Bryan, statutory rape, child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes.

• Thomas Benjamin Kelly, robbery and driving away without paying for gasoline.

• George Robert Dudley Jr., interference with government property-felony, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, speeding and tail light violation.

• Brad Elliott Lake, burglary.

• Alondrous Roderick Whitehead, burglary.

• Terry Gordor Bolton, possession of cocaine and open container violation.

• Gerald Antonio Newton, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and driving under the influence of drugs.

• Christopher Michael Vale, possession w/intent to distribute marijuana, driving under the influence of drugs, safety belt violation and broken windshield.
