4-H News I want to thank those students who gave up their Saturday morning to help distribute Easter eggs for the Millen Better Hometown Easter egg hunt. They were Krysten Fail, Justin Lanier, Lavonte Lovette and Becca Rich. I don't know who had more fun, the children who found the eggs or the youth who got to spread them out. Coming up very soon is Cloverleaf DPA, March 29, at Swainsboro Middle School. Please arrive at the 4-H Office at 7:30 a.m. that morning. The bus will pull out of the parking lot no later than 8 a.m. and return home around 3 p.m. All DPA participants need to come to the 4-H Office as much as possible this week to practice. If you are doing a performing arts project and I have not heard or seen your final presentation, I must see it before you can go! If you have decided not to go, please let us know as soon as possible. Dress for the day will be semicasual. Slacks or khakis and a nice shirt will be appropriate. If you would like to dress the part of your project area, you may. For example, if you're doing a project on hunting, you may dress like a hunter and wear camouflage. Do not forget to bring your display material. For example, if you are talking about dog care, you may want to bring some dog care supplies like shampoo, flea medicine and food. If you need help with any of this please let Mrs. Elaine or me know. If you are on the Dairy Judging Team, you will need to purchase a t-shirt this week. Competition is only two weeks away. Seniors should be getting information about Southeast/ Southwest Senior Spring Conference soon. If you are interested in attending, please register as soon as possible. Again, DPA students, don't forget to come in and practice as much as possible this week! |
