Jessie L. Parker, 54, died after an extended illness

Mr. Jessie L. Parker, 54, died Friday, March 28, 2008 at Memorial Health in Savannah, after a long illness.

A memorial service will be held for Mr. Parker at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Community Worship Center (Church of God), 417 Virginia Avenue, Millen.

Mr. Parker was a native of Jenkins County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and the National Guard. He was self-employed.

Survivors include his three sisters, Carolyn (Larry) Whitehead of Sylvania, Maria A. Parker of Hephzibah and Julier Bragg of Waynesboro; and three brothers, Wayne (Brenda) Parker and Dean Parker, both of Millen, and Chris (Brandy) Parker of Statesboro.
