War Eagles place third in six teams at track meet

The Jenkins County High School War Eagles boys' track and field team finished third overall in a highly competitive meet in Sylvania Thursday, March 27.

Coach Charley Waters stated, "The team was rested up for the meet, and they did extremely well considering some key guys are still hampered with leg problems and are not at 100 percent. We can only hope to keep working with those who are healthy and try to heal the hurt before the region meet. I think the guys are starting to get more comfortable with their new events and their roles for this 2008 team, yet we still have a lot of work to do, to fine-tune our events. We have got to be healthy for the Region meet."
