Jenkins native joins team at Hawkins and Whitaker

Waynesboro's newest real estate firm, Hawkins and Whitaker Real Estate LLC, welcomed Frank Getzinger to its team recently.

Getzinger became a realtor with Trotter Realty in Augusta in 1977 and is now getting back into the business. As a Jenkins County native and 33-year Waynesboro resident, he is very familiar with the area. For the past 30 years, he has been the self-employed owner of Custom Carpet and Associated Services, a business that has allowed him to form close ties with local residents and businesses.

He and his wife of 36 years, Alice, have three daughters, Anna, Mrs. Alex (Angela) Grovenstein and Mrs. Chris (Katie) Dalzell, and three grandchildren, Emma Kate, Davis and Campbell. He and Alice are active members of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church.

Partners Cathy Hawkins and Glenn Whitaker opened their business in June 2007, having also recently added agent Nick Grubisa, who specializes in southern Richmond County and northern Burke properties.

Getzinger will work with all properties and will specialize in the Millen, Jenkins County, area.
