Library News National Library Week is almost over, but National Poetry Month is in full swing! Come to the library this afternoon and you can put all of your poetry into print at the Zine Scene, a workshop created to let your writing and/or art shine! Create your own comic book, show off your painting skills, share your poems or shorts stories - whatever your talent, if it can be put onto paper, this is your chance to do it! Just bring it - on paper or on disk - to the library today, Wednesday, April 16 at 4 p.m., and we'll have everything you need to print it out and create your very own zine! The long drought has finally broken, which makes this spring the perfect time to really make your garden bloom! And we've got lots and lots of books that will tell you just how to do that. Come on in and learn how to pick your plants, compost with ease, and design an outdoor space to be enjoyed year-round! The Screven-Jenkins Regional Library Board will meet at 4 p.m. at the Screven County Library on Thursday, April 24. Now, on to the books! THE GHOST WAR by Alex Berenson. Iran is determined to go nuclear, there's a mole in the CIA, a mission to North Korea has gone horribly wrong, and only CIA agent John Wells can stop the terrorists. Or can he? I DARE YOU: EMBRACE LIFE WITH PASSION by Joyce Meyer. Passion, properly used, is more than just a feeling, it's finding one's purpose and running with it. Here, she urges everyone to dream big, know what their real motives are, and to set aside bad habits like worry, guilt, blame and fear. By discovering what stirs your passions, you can learn to develop your full potential.
