Cavalier Home Builders, LLC- Millen Division held their spring show at the Millen plant last week to introduce the latest product offering. Retailers from Georgia, Florida and South Carolina were invited to tour a selection of single and multi-section homes- fully furnished and decorated. They were also treated to a guided tour of the manufacturing facility, which is the oldest continuously operated manufactured housing factory in Georgia.

Several retailers were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in the previous year, including Tri-state Homes of Tifton Georgia with 2007 sales in excess of 3-million dollars. Eleven other retailers were presented awards for 2007 sales in excess of 1-million dollars.

Lunch was served for the employees on Friday and the homes opened on Saturday for them to bring their families and show off the finished product.

In spite of a struggling housing market, Cavalier has been able to maintain manufacturing in Millen by downsizing the operation and improving efficiencies throughout the organization. Although 2008 continues to be a tough year for housing, Cavalier remains committed to its' Millen operation and appreciates the efforts of their employees and the support of the community.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank the county commissioners and Paula Herrington for their help and assistance to Cavalier. Our product is better than ever and we expect to see positive results in the future," said Mike Birdwell, general manager.
