4-H News
By Anna Burgess County Extension Agent

If you were not able to make it to the 4-H Awards Program last Thursday night, you missed a really good time! 4-H'ers from 5th thru 12th grade were recognized for their outstanding achievements the past year. They also preformed to "High School Musical" and "Forrest Gump." We had nearly 200 in attendance!

In other 4-H news, some of our senior 4-H'ers just got back from Jekyll Island where they attended Senior Conference. Senior Conference is for all high school students. They spend the weekend at the beach with some of their closest friends from all over South Georgia. Those who went were: Krysten Fail, LaVonte Lovette, Walter Ivy, Becca Rich and Cierra Joyner.

Be looking for our Summer program schedule. It should be coming out in the next few weeks. There is tons of fun stuff for 4-H age children to do all summer long.

Keep the Project S.A.F.E. team in mind, this Sunday is their last practice before they head to the state competition at Rock Eagle.
