Officers of the Millen Police Department (MPD) served a search warrant April 25 at a 442 Toby Drive residence in reference to the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco. The search warrant produced a large amount of alcohol, tobacco and over $2,000 in cash. Mary Johnson Hudson, 59, and Margie Ann Johnson, 54, of 442 Toby Drive, Millen, were both arrested and charged with pos- session of unlawful quantities of distilled spirits; sale, exchange, or other possession of distilled spirits; violation of licenses required to distribute, sell, or otherwise deal in alcoholic beverages; violation of licensing of persons engaged in tobacco business; violation of additional requirements on the sale of tobacco products; and operating a business without a license within the city.
