Sheriff's department charge two in drug bust

BOBBIE JOE CUNNINGHAM
A local man and woman are facing a variety of charges following the search of a 641 Parrish-Burke Road residence Saturday, April 26, by Jenkins County Sheriff's Department deputies, assisted by the Department of Natural Resources.

As a result of the search, Bobbie Jo Cunningham and Eugene Hardaway, an active parolee, were arrested and charged with the following: possession of drug related objects, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, distribution or sale of wine without a license, keeping distilled spirits in a building not used as a dwelling, illegal amount of distilled spirits possessed, common nuisances and maintaining a disorderly house.

Law enforcement searched the residence in response to several complaints about an illegal club operating and selling alcohol and illegal drugs. Upon arrival, officers observed drug-related objects in plain view, along with several gallons of liquor. Confiscated were approximately 120 bottles of beer, 58 cans of beer and several onehalf gallons of gin and brandy, along with 45 bottles of Wild Irish wine. Cocaine and marijuana were also seized in the search.
