Firefighters complete training
Members of the South Jenkins District 6 Volunteer Fire Department (SJD6VFD) recently completed their 79- hour Basic Firefighter Training Course. The course included CPR, First Aid and AED certification, along with classroom instruction and hands-on execution of firefighting equipment and firefighting knowledge. Presently the volunteers are participating in advanced firefighting training and are awaiting their final review and evaluation from the Georgia Firefighters Standards and Training Council to receive their state certification. All 17 members participated in the Basic Firefighters Course, and all received a passing score.
