Prom royalty
Jenkins County High School was the scene of a tropical paradise April 19, as the school hosted its annual Junior-Senior prom. The evening was kicked off with the school's annual Grand March, which was a well-attended community showcase of the young men and women in their tuxedos and prom dresses. Following the time-honored tradition of the march, nearly 150 formally attired students retreated to the prom, where they found a manmade lagoon and stream surrounding the dance floor for this year's theme, "Breakaway". During the prom students enjoyed light refreshments and danced to music provided by a Siksess.
