"Daniel" Womack Jr. of Swainsboro died April 28

Garth Dalmon "Daniel" Womack Jr., 61, of Swainsboro died Monday, April 28, 2008 at his residence after an extended illness.

His funeral was held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bunny Hudson officiating. Burial was in the Elam Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Womack was a native of Jenkins County, but had lived most of his life in Brunswick before retiring and returning to Swainsboro in 2002. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Garth Dalmon Womack Sr. and Irene Joiner Womack Free.

Survivors include two sons, Zach Womack and Chris Womack, both of Twin City; three sisters, Miriam Fagler of Swainsboro and Linda Hall and Nancy McCarter, both of Jesup; and a brother, Milton Womack of Swainsboro.

Pallbearers were B.L. Kent, Bobby Claxton Jr., Jeff Hall, Bryant Lewis, Grady Joiner Jr., Frankie Joiner and Trent Womack.
