The Chatter Box
By Deborah Bennett

Response to last week's "Question of the Week" - Which dirt road in the county do you consider to be the worse to travel?"

"Sonny Allen Road is the worse road that I have traveled with rocks protruding up in the middle, ditches all filled with sand, culverts missing or closed and rain water runs down the middle of the road. This is due to poor maintenance and the lack thereof. And why is the county still working private drives?"

"It isn't just dirt roads. Some paved roads are in need of immediate attention. There are several pot holes in Paramore Hill Road that feel like canyons when you hit them."
