Job fair to be held June 17
      More than 100 companies are expected to attend the 2008 Southeast Georgia Regional Job Fair/Career Expo scheduled to take place 1- 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Georgia Southern University. The fair will be set up in the Nessmith-Lane Continuous Education Building, 229 Plant Drive, Statesboro.

Oxendine revises estimate to $125 million in damages
      After visiting several counties that had recent storm damage, Insurance Commissioner John W. Oxendine revised his estimate to $125 million in insured losses. "We're seeing significant damage, not only to homes and timber, but to large businesses, as well," Oxendine said.
