The Chatter Box
By Deborah Bennett

Mother Nature continued her rampage through Jenkins County last Tuesday when severe weather struck the Perkins community and other areas of the county.

Magnolia Baptist Church's social hall was destroyed and trees were toppled in the Perkins area. Hail was reported in many sections of the county with some reports of it covering the ground like snow.

Let's hope Mother Nature soon recovers her composure and returns to normal! We are not accustomed to so much bad weather is such a short period of time. When compared to the devastation created by the earthquake in China and the cyclone in Myanmar, however, we are still blessed.
