Church News Church Vacation Bible School Set sail for "Outrigger Island," a week of nonstop action of learning how to live God's unshakeable truth. Explore five Bible truths: God is real; Jesus is God's Son; Jesus is the only way; the Bible is God's Word; and actions show what I believe. By the end of the week, participants will have learned what it means to know, speak and live the truth. It's Vacation Bible School time at Green Fork Baptist Church. Children 3 years of age through sixth grade are welcome, beginning 3 p.m. Sunday, June 8, and continuing each night from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13. There will be Bible stories, cool crafts, motivating music, snacks and games. During this same week, teenagers can experience Bible study and special activities planned just for them. Adults, also, will have the opportunity to participate in Bible study. This week of fun, food and exciting learning opportunities will be one to remember. Everyone is cordially invited. Needful Baptist Church Gospel Singing Program Needful Baptist Church will present a "Gospel Singing Program" 6 p.m. Saturday, May 31. First, second and third prizes will be awarded. Gospel singers from Estill, S.C. and Sylvania will be featured. The public is invited. New Hurricane Branch Baptist Church choir celebration New Hurricane Branch Baptist Church will hold its 45th choir celebration 4 p.m. Sunday, June 1. All area churches are invited to attend. The theme will be "When all of God's children get together." West Millen Baptist presents Summer Night Alive West Millen Baptist Church will present "Summer Night Alive" 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 4. The Rev. Bucky Kennedy will be the featured guest speaker. Rev. Kennedy is the pastor of First Baptist Church, Vidalia. He is also the current president of the Georgia Baptist Convention. The public is invited to come out for a night of heartfelt worship, an inspirational message, special music and great fellowship. A nursery will be provided. The next "Summer Night Alive" will be held July 2. |
