Mrs. Mary Lou Wright Grant, died May 19

Mrs. Mary Lou Wright Grant died Monday, May 19, 2008.

Her funeral was held Saturday, May 24, at First McCoy Baptist Church with the Rev. Judson Scott officiating.

Mrs. Grant was born Jan. 12, 1949. She was the first child born to Mrs. Mary Jane Wright Scott and the late Mr. James Franklin Wright Sr. in Sylvania.

Survivors include her estranged husband, Mr. Uriah Alexander Grant Sr.; a loving and devoted daughter, Annie Jo (Tritus) Wallington; a loving son, Uriah A. "JR" (LaTonyon) Grant; a dedicated and loving mother, Mrs. Mary Jane Scott; two brothers, James F. (Raynell) Wright and Eddie H. (Maria) Wright; five sisters, Richardean Norwood, Elouise J. Wright, Bobbie J. (Johnny) McGee, Annette S. Williams and Judy M. (Leroy) Smith; a brother-in-law, Robert L. Bullard; three grandsons, Latrell and De'Andre Gaines and Tritus "TJ" Wallington Jr.; three granddaughters, Yolonda and LaToya Wallington and Jayla Grant; two great-grandchildren, Latrell Gaines Jr. and Jer'naizah Gaines; a goddaughter, Michelle Sampson; an uncle, Mr. Charlie (Mojean) Howard; two aunts, Mrs. Dorothy W. Thornton and Mrs. Roxie Howard; a great-uncle, Mr. Myra Williams; and a host of other relatives and special friends.
