Baseball Camp

The Jenkins County Recreation Department will sponsor a Baseball Camp for boys 6 through 14 years of age Monday, June 30, through Thursday, July 3.

The instructor will be Tyrone Mingle. He is a graduate of Screven County High School where he lettered all four years in football, basketball and baseball.

He went to ABAC on a baseball scholarship after graduating. He signed with the Anaheim Angels in 2004. He is a baseball instructor in Albany. He is currently employed with MVP Baseball and Diamond Sports Training. Mingle is the son of Willie and Laurie Mingle.

The camp will be held 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. for ages 6 - 10; and 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for ages 11 - 14.

Cost of the camp is $60 per child. You may register at Jenkins County Recreation Department (JCRD.)

For more information, call JCRD from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Family Reunion

The annual D.T. Wilson Family Reunion will be held Sunday, June 29, at the Jenkins County Senior Citizens Center. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.

All friends and relatives are invited.
