Patriotic celebration
      Jenkins County will celebrate the nation's birthday 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at the Millen/ Jenkins County Recreation Complex. The highlights of the evening will be a fireworks show, patriotic music by local talent and activities for children. Admission is free.

Graduation test
      This summer, Jenkins County High School (JCHS) will offer Georgia High School Graduation Test remedial instruction in science, social studies, language arts and math on the high school campus. Instruction during the summer will include a oneweek review course for each section of the test.
