Graduation test This summer, Jenkins County High School (JCHS) will offer Georgia High School Graduation Test remedial instruction in science, social studies, language arts and math on the high school campus. Instruction during the summer will include a oneweek review course for each section of the test. The review will last for two hours each day and will be taught by a high school teacher. The review is free to all students and former students who exited JCHS with a Certificate of Performance. The review dates are: Mon- day, July 7, through Friday, July 11. Each review session is scheduled as follows: 8 a.m. until 10 a.m., science; 10 a.m. until noon, social studies; 1 p.m. until 3 p.m., math; and 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., English. The re-test for each section will take place on the following dates at 8:30 a.m. each morning at JCHS: Wednesday, July 16, writing test; Monday, July 14, science test; Tuesday, July 15, social studies; Wednesday, July 16, language arts (English); Thursday, July 17, math; and Friday, July 18, make-up day. Ruth Hearn, JCHS counselor, would like to encourage all students to attend the review sessions each day. Statistics have proven that students who attend the review have a higher chance of passing the re-test. |
