The Jenkins County Board of Education (BOE) approved a tentative 2008-2009 budget of $12,040,812 during a called meeting held Monday, July 7. This represents an increase of $643,185 over the previous year’s budget. The effect of the action on property taxes is undetermined at this time. See details in next week’s edition of The Millen News.
