Deep Creek Free Will Baptist Church

Deep Creek Free Will Baptist Church will celebrate 133 years of Gospel ministry on Homecoming Sunday, July 27. Gospel singer/songwriter Michael Bright will be in concert during the 11 a.m. morning worship service.

Bright is known for the national radio singles "Take Time," "Nothing's Too Good to be True" and "It's Gonna Be a Good Day." His music has charted on radio stations in the United States, Europe, Canada and The United Kingdom. His albums have been given triple "A" ratings in the Singing News magazine. He ministers in over 175 churches each year, and has appeared on numerous television stations across the United States. Young and old have been touched through his music and testimony.

Nannie E. Williams

United Methodist

The annual Women's Day Program at Nannie E. Williams United Methodist Church will be held 11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 27. The Rev. Kenneth Griffin and the church congregation invite the public to attend.

The guest speaker will be the Rev. Amelia G. Dempsey. She was licensed to preach the Gospel of Christ in April of 2002 at St. John Baptist Church in Savannah. Her accomplishments include assisting in developing and implementing a "Bad Girls of the Bible" Bible study series. She is a lead minister who facilitates and develops curriculums for Ministers-in-training Workshops. She also serves as a pastoral counselor and facilitator for the senior adults Sunday School class. She was selected out of many candidates to attend the 2008 U.S. Dept. of Justice Civil Rights Division First Freedom Project.

Rev. Dempsey is a much sought-after preacher on the evangelistic circuit. She is the daughter of the Rev. Green Golden and Mrs. Ruth Bailey Golden. She is married to Willburn V. Dempsey, and they have a daughter, Sharon.

Needful Baptist

Needful Baptist Church will hold their annual revival services 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 28, through Friday, Aug. 1. The Rev. James Waltower is pastor. The guest minister will be the Rev. Anthony Gadson of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Waynesboro.

Fountain Spring Baptist Church's summer revival services are ongoing each night at 7:30 p.m. through Friday, July 25. The guest minister is Elder Donald Chavers, pastor of Agape Worship Center in Statesboro.

Gordon Grove Baptist Church will hold their annual revival services 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 28, through Friday, Aug. 1. The guest minister will be the Rev. Bernard Clark of Savannah. The Rev. David L. Reese is pastor.

Sunday services include Sunday School at 9 a.m. and worship service at 10 a.m.
