Peggie Royal Lane, 79, of Millen died July 21

Mrs. Peggie Royal Lane, 79, of Millen died Monday, July 21, 2008 at Brentwood Healthcare Center in Waynesboro.

Her funeral was held 3 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at Millen Baptist Church. Burial was in the Millen Cemetery.

Mrs. Lane was born in Jenkins County. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn (Phil) Sheppard and Barbara Clifton; a son, Quinnie A. Lane Jr.; three sisters, Betty Bolton, Mary Louise Bragg and Royce Rhinehart; three brothers, Charles Royal Sr., Henry Lee Royal and Larry Royal; five grandchildren, Ashley Brown, Madeline Chestnut, Lee Clifton, Phillip Sheppard and Edward Clifton; and two great-grandchildren.
