Holton, Highsmith to exchange vows

Laura Nicole Holton and Daniel Hugh Highsmith
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Welch of Millen and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Holton of Perkins are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Nicole Holton, to Daniel Hugh Highsmith. Daniel is the son of Ms. Diane Watts Highsmith of Mountville, South Carolina and Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Highsmith of Phoenix, Arizona.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Josie Womack of Millen and the late Mr. Ernest Womack and Mrs. Marine G. Holton of Perkins and the late Mr. J.C. Holton.

She is 1999 honor graduate of Jenkins County High School, and a 2003 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She is employed as a chemist for DSM Chemicals.

The future groom is the grandson of Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Highsmith and the late Mr. William D. Highsmith of Chapin, S.C. and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Watts and the late Mrs. Bernice Y. Watts of Clinton, S.C.

He is a 1992 graduate of Thornwell High School, and a 1996 graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College with an Associate's Degree in Wildlife Technology. Daniel is currently selfemployed as an insurance agent.

The couple will be married on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 6 p.m. in the evening. The ceremony will be held at Paynes Chapel United Methodist Church. Following the wedding, the couple will honeymoon in Aruba. They will reside in North Augusta, S.C.
