The Chatter Box Many serious vehicle accidents have occurred because of blind spots while driving. I have had some "near-misses" myself. I was given the following information on the "correct" way to set your outside mirrors that could eliminate these blind spots and thought it worthy of passing along. Adjust the driver's side mirror by resting your head against the driver's side window and then turning the mirror so that you can only see the side of your car. Move to the center of the vehicle and turn the passenger side mirror so that you can only see the side of your car. That's it. You won't see your car in either mirror, and cars behind you will show up as usual in the inside rear-view mirror above the dash, but the instant the car leaves your field of vision in the rear-view mirror, the outside mirrors pick it up. It really works. No more blind spots. ****** The poll question on our website last week was, "Do you think completion of the Savannah River Parkway through Millen and Jenkins County will provide an economic boost for local businesses and our community?" Responses as of Monday were: Yes - 14; No -12; and Undecided - 2.
