Geraldine Sherrod Womack, died Aug. 25

Mrs. Geraldine Sherrod Womack, 77, of Millen died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008.

Her funeral was 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, at Fair Haven United Methodist Church with the Revs. Sue Diebolt and Ray Jenkins officiating. Burial was in the Millen Cemetery.

Mrs. Womack was born in Emanuel County. She was a homemaker and a member of Fair Haven United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Gerry W. (John) Sutton of Sylvester and Linda Womack of Decatur; two grandchildren, John C. (Dara) Sutton Jr. and Robert L. Sutton; a sister and a brother, Mae Jean Coleman and Arthur Sherrod, both of Midville; three sisters-in-law, Shelva Jean Sherrod, Blonnie W. Johnson and Susie Womack; a brother-in-law, C. L. Womack; caregivers, Patricia Bryant and Sandra Hudson; and several nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers were Jim Sherrod, G.W. Johnson, Gary Johnson, Greg Johnson, Scotty Womack and Jamie Newton.
