Church groups remember civil rights
      The Youth departments of Lane Grove Baptist and Mt. Carmel Baptist churches recently took 17 children and six adults to Montgomery, Ala. to visit several civil rights monuments and museums.

Lady Eagles off to a good start
      The Jenkins County Lady War Eagles softball team has started the season off strong with four wins against Claxton, ECI (double header) and Portal at home and one loss to Bryan County on the road. The Lady War Eagles are 2-1 sub region play.
