Hughes' celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Hughes Sr. of Millen will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008. The couple was married Sept. 7, 1958 at the First Methodist Church of Claxton. Bob owned and retired from Hughes' Tire and Recapping of Savannah in 1995. Earldene was employed by Zim Container Service of Savannah and retired in 2004. Upon their retirements, they moved to Millen. They have two children, Kay Autery (Tim) of Thibodaux, La. and Robbie Hughes (Tammi) of Savannah, and seven grandchildren.
