The annual Fair-on-the-Square is set for this Saturday on the lawn of the Jenkins County Courthouse. This is always a fun day and a great opportunity to welcome out-of-town visitors to our community. There will be plenty of food, entertainment and arts and crafts to enjoy. Don't miss it!

Public meetings 101: For those interested in attending the meetings of our city and county governments, the times and dates of the meetings are as follows.

Jenkins County Commissioners - 9 a.m. the first Tuesday of each month and 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month.

Jenkins County Board of Education - 7 p.m. the third Monday of each month.

Millen City Council - 6 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month.

The meetings are open to the public. However, if you wish to address the group, you must call in advance and ask to be put on the meeting's agenda in order to do so.
