The following events have been scheduled for the week and all students are asked to participate. This year's homecoming theme is "We Put On for Our City." The theme is based on how hard our students are working to bring pride to JCHS and the community.
The student council has designated a dress up day for each day of the week. Homerooms will decorate banners to hang around the football field to show their school spirit. A moonlight movie night "Facing the Giants" has been scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (tonight) on the football field. Tickets are $4. Concessions will be available. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on. The homecoming committee will sponsor a parade at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct 2. The parade will start on Cotton Avenue, proceed to Masonic Avenue, turn left on Winthrope Avenue and then turn right on North Gray Street and arrive back at the high school. Tabatha Bennett, Jenkins County Teacher of the Year, will serve as the Grand Marshal.
After the parade the cheerleaders will sponsor a community pep rally at the football field.
