Eugene Talmadge Alcott of Savannah died Sept. 26

Mr. Eugene Talmadge Alcott, 76, of Savannah died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008.

His funeral was held 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home with the Rev. Butch Taylor officiating. Burial was in the Bennett Family Cemetery.

Mr. Alcott was born in Emanuel County. He was a member of Holy Church of God of Savannah. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict and was a retired barber.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Taylor Alcott of Savannah; a son, Talmadge Joseph Alcott, also of Savannah; and two sisters, Ollie Ruth Brown and Susie Stover, both of Millen.

Active pallbearers were Ricky Taylor, Aaron Taylor, Remer Brown Jr., Brent Brown and nephews.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home of Millen was in charge of arrangements.
