JCHS cheerleaders pick up first place wins

The Jenkins County High School 2008-2009 competition squad is bringing home the trophies. The competition squad competed in Toombs County Sept. 27.

The competition consisted of Emanuel County Institute, Ba- con County, Bryan County, Montgomery, Savannah Christian Preparatory and Hawkinsville. JCHS girls were the first place winners; 2nd place- Bacon County; 3rd Place- Emanuel County Institute; and 4th Place- Hawkinsville.

On Oct. 4, the team traveled to Vidalia High School to compete against Bryan County, Montgomery, and Metter. The team brought home the first place trophy for the second week in a row. Montgomery came in as the second place winner.

On Oct. 11, the team went to South East Bulloch to compete against Emanuel County Institute, Metter, Savannah Christian Preparatory and Bryan County. Results were not available as of press time.
