Paul Clifton, 85, of Millen died November 26

Mr. Paul Clifton, 85, of Millen died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008.

His funeral was 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home with the Rev. David Blalock officiating. Burial was in the Millen Cemetery.

Mr. Clifton was born in Jenkins County. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired farmer.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda (Paul) Eason of Vidalia; son, Gary Clifton of Millen; five grandchildren, Joey McCullough, Jeffery McCullough, Jennifer Clifton, Lee Clifton and Edward Clifton; two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Ann Marie McCullough; four sisters, Helen Roach and Elene C. Bragg, both of Millen, Adelia Gay of Beaufort, S.C. and Joyce Oglesby of Garfield; and an aunt, Elizabeth Daniel of Millen.

Pallbearers were John Cleve Newton, Jamie Newton, Charles Lanier Jr., Mike Reeves, W.T. Williams, Terry Williams, Jason Williams and Doy Hulsey.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home of Millen was in charge of arrangements.
