Top honors of the Jenkins County High School Class of 2009 go to Sheila Marie Boone, valedictorian, and Chester Jeffery Joyner, salutatorian. Sheila is the daughter of Bob and Donna Boone. Her academic honors include Governor's Honor nominee, Merit Scholar, Washington Youth Tour delegate, Rochester Scholarship-history and multiple highest average awards. More...

War Memorial Dedication to be held May 25

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post #2776 will host a dedication program for the War Memorial recently placed by the post on the lawn of the Jenkins County Courthouse.
