Boone, Joyner named JCHS Valedictorian, Salutatorian

Sheila is the daughter of Bob and Donna Boone.
Her academic honors include Governor's Honor nominee, Merit Scholar, Washington Youth Tour delegate, Rochester Scholarship-history and multiple highest average awards.
During her high school career, she has been an active member of the Interact Club, grades 10-12, serving as treasurer while in the 12th grade; Beta club, 11-12 grades, serving as secretary while in the 12th grade; and yearbook staff, 9-12 grades, serving as editor-in-chief her 12th grade.
Sheila plans to attend Georgia Southern University (GSU) and major in history. She plans to obtain a PhD degree in history and become a college professor.
Chester is the son of Jeff and Judy Joyner.
His academic accomplishments include: Bausch and Lomb Science Award, 2007 Governor's Honor Program finalist in biology, 2009 STAR student, full time ACCEL student for 1½ years at GSU in the Honor's Program, ASPIRES undergraduate research grant through GSU, President's List for three semesters, University Honors Program Scholarship recipient, multiple highest average awards, Georgia Certificate of Merit Scholar, Augusta State Certificate of Achievement and 2009 Mr. Eagle.
He has been an active member of the Interact Club, serving as vice-president for two years; Spanish Club, 2008 GSU Idol competition, West Millen Baptist Church youth and USHA.
Chester plans to continue his education at GSU in the Honor's Program and graduate with a B.S. in biology. He then plans to attend medical school to become a trauma surgeon.
